Using a chosen organisation, identify how the role of PR contributes Essay
Using a chosen organisation, identify how the role of PR contributes to the achievements of the organisations corporate mission and objectives - test ExampleThese challenges have resulted in bad advancement for the company, which is the last thing it needs as it tries to forge ahead with its objectives. This is where PR comes in. Googles PR policy, developed and implemented by some of the most dynamic practitioners in the US, has been influential in countering the negative press generated by its legal and ethical problems. The companys PR policy is designed to encourage closer and more personalised interactions with its customers. For example, its Gmail service has been used in recent years to emphasise its understanding of users needs and habits. Google has, in recent years, started sponsoring charities and actively participating in CSR initiatives that generate positive publicity and counter the negative press created by its ethical and legal problems (Moore, 201434). In Africa, for example, the company is collaborating with local start-ups and NGOs to improve various conditions. Finally, Googles PR policy has portrayed it as transparent and sustainable probably the most sustainable engine room company in the world. Although this may not be necessarily true, it resonates with customers and capitalises on the current clamour for and attractiveness of sustainability and longevity in the corporate world (Moore, 201436).In the duration of this coursework, I have learned that PR is more than just about publicity. In fact, I have learned that the notion that PR equals publicity ended in the beginning of the 21st century. Currently, PR is a wide field that comprises many different disciplines and plays a role at all levels of hostelry and government. I have also learned that PR starts with me. We engage, many times, in PR-related activities without our knowledge. For example, the way we relate to each other is a case of good or bad PR, and it defines our approa ches to the subject as we become more experienced (Moore, 201439).In practising PR, I have adopted a

Assessment and Tests Evaluation - Research Paper ExampleI chose this test since it plays a masses of significance in determining the qualities and capabilities of an individual. It reflects on the level of personification one has over the looming issues in life (Anderson & Morgan, 2008).This is a test administered in order to act upon the activeness and relation of ones interests with those of a certain career. For instance, if one is interested in what goes on and is done by teachers, then that particular individual can work to be a good teacher. I chose this test since it reflects in individual capabilities and interest as rested in their talents.Anderson, P. & Morgan, G. Responsibility of Ethics Essay Example for Free
Responsibility of Ethics EssayEthical standing among community members and business persons is held in high regard. The proposition of trust needs to be had at all times so that people know that their specifyation is safe. When ethical issues arise, somewhere, somehow there has to be individual who is able and willing to stand up and report the unethical issue. All professionals are bound by ethics and the responsibility to report wrong doing. In this case, the widows attorney is charging the widow 12-14% more than his average percentage with respects to his other clients. Normal everyday ethics suggest that not single is he acting in bad ethics but obviously is taking advantage of this widow. Charlie, even if not mandated by law or administrative rule, should inform the widow. This would be the right and respectful thing to do but is Charlie mandated by any code of ethics to act on this information and inform her is the real question.Charlie, even though he is not the person creating the ethical situation, is bound by ethical codes to inform this widow at the very least but more appropriately the governing agency, of the actions of her attorney. As stated in the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct for CPAs members should act with integrity, guided by the precept that when members fulfill their responsibility to the public, clients and employers interests are best served. (ET ingredient 53 Article IIThe Public Interest, ET Section 52 Article IResponsibilities, ET Section 54 Article IIIIntegrity ET Section 56 Article VDue Care of the AICPA).The biggest ethical issue is honesty, integrity and the personal construct issues. The attorney stands to gain a substantial amount of money, well more than what he should for his services. The code of ethics for attorneys alone is violated is drastic ways. Some states have statutes on how an attorney charges their client and some rely of good ethical behavior but this aside, attorneys are to charge only what i s jolly and consistent with how they charge everyone else. This attorney is violating a huge public interest and the widow can file a complaint and the attorney stands to lose his liscense to place law. Charlie can also intervene and simply make a phone call to the governing agency as this particular information that he knows, is not bound by the confidentiality laws as this information was derived not by the widows words but by the admittance of the attorney in which there is no confidentiality as there is no client issue due to the fact that Charlie is not asking for advice and the lawyer is not giving it.Works CitedAICPA Code of Professional Conduct. 2006-2008. http//www.aicpa.org/ rough/code/sec50.htmNew Jersey Judiciary. Training Managers to be Cross Culturally Sensitive Essay Example for Free
Training Managers to be Cross Culturally Sensitive EssayCultural sensitiveness is an important part of modern management practices in the world of business today. With the brink of globalization in the current system of life of the human society today, it could not be denied that there ar many reasons for managers to adjust their system of dealing with their professional duties as major controllers of the human resources of several organizations in the society today. Gone are the days when they simply ask to deal with individual-based diversity (Morgan 1998). Today, more than simple individual differences, managers have to consider heathen values of the plenty as well. Being sensitive about these peculiar(prenominal) looking ats is a certain(p) leap towards development for managers of the current society. Human issues are probably the hardest issues of diversity that should be dealt with today. With the clashing of cultural values between people from different nations beca use of the effects of globalization within the current system of things, the past issues of human relationship had both been increased in possibilities of beingness resolved or even the possibilities being worsened. This could be judged through the make of management that is applied towards the values of the said diversified society of business organizations today. Being sensitive to this aspect of human development shall make it easier for the managers to have better understanding of their responsibility. Understandably, the system of management should be more concerned on how the values of the people being controlled are being provided by the authorities. This is primarily to satisfy their values and their levels of wants and demands of being respected as humans who have their own personal guidelines of being singly satisfied from their works through the ways that they are being treated by their authorities (Nelson-Neuhaus 2004). Why is being sensitive about the matter of refi ning necessary? Moving into a cutting social purlieu is a very challenging matter. First, since the destination is a new place and full of new people, critical adaptation and socialization are greatly required to be able to adjust to the change of society (Dalton 2002). One must learn the cultural pattern and social standards of the new society to be able to bl residuum in and adapt. This idea is greatly relevant to the case of an expatriate employee of a certain company, which is already fair a main concern for the business society. Many cases of an expatriate employee already resulted to resignation due to staggering problems brought by the socialization process (Keough, 453-459). Thus to address this social dilemma, socialization of a new person mainly an expatriate employee must be given concern especially the communication strategies that are relevant to the process. Certainly, training managers to be cross culturally sensitive in this matter is a serious task to take into c onsideration. How then are the procedures supposed to be dealt with? First, the realization of diversity should be implemented thus helping the individuals concerned take full charge of their duty when the issue comes to becoming highly involved in a multicultural working environment.Next is the implementation of normalizing rules. As managers, these individuals should realize that they are in power to put an end to the dilemma that may be caused by human differences at work. Thirdly, making the managers competent enough in handling such cases of cultural diversity lies in the understanding of he said individuals of the fact that humans are indeed in different measures of both cultural and personal diversity that should be fully recognized by everyone especially at work so as to be able to establish a lot more responsive environment at work.ReferencesKeough, Colleen M. Plato and Aristotle Essay Example for Free
Plato and Aristotle EssayPlato and Aristotle both have been very influential as the ancient Hellenic philosophers. Aristotle was a student of Plato and there are many similarities between these intellectual giants of the ancient world but there are also many things that make love them from each other. Aristotle was far more empirical-minded than Plato. First, Platos philosophy relegated the material, physical world to a sort of metaphysical second class. His contention was that the abstract truths of the mind-mathematical truths, moral and normative truths some ideals-are what really matter in life and in philosophy, and that the empirical world around us consists of merely poor copies of these ideals. By contrast, Aristotle did as much or more work in what we would today call science (physics, biology, etc. ) as in what remains a part of philosophy. While Aristotle accreditedly did classic work in ethics and related areas, he concentrated as much or more on examining the ma terial world.Plato can be fill at times as being quite disparaging of science. This is not true of Aristotle. Second, the difference in the approaches and values of these two philosophers resulted in very diverse political philosophies. Platos political philosophy, which can be found principally in the Republic. For him, the just state is one ruled by ascetic philosophers who have been raise from birth not to value material reward or exclusive human connections, even with their own kin. They are the ideal of wise, objective, fair-minded, ultra-rational beings. In contrast to Platos utopian political philosophy, Aristotles political philosophy, which can be found principally in the Politics, has a large component of descriptive political science. When he does argue for certain political schemes, they tend to be incremental improvements on existing systems. Like his teacher Plato, Aristotles philosophy aims at the universal. Aristotle, however, finds the universal in particular thin gs, which he calls the heart and soul of things, while Plato finds that the universal exists apart from particular things. Aristotle makes philosophy coextensive with reasoning, which he also would describe as science.Note, however, that his use of the term science carries a contrasting meaning than that covered by the term scientific method. For Aristotle, all science is practical, poetical or theoretical. By practical science, he means ethics and government activity by poetical science, he means the study of poetry and the other fine arts by theoretical science, he means physics, mathematics and metaphysics. In general, Plato is the more extravagant thinker, the thinking outside the box type who was equal parts brilliant and bizarre in his ideas. Aristotle is more the cool, logical, dry, systematic thinker whose plant life tend to read like encyclopedias.

Individual Reflective Report On Gibbs Cycle Of Reflection Education Essay
Individual Reflective Report On Gibbs Cycle Of Reflection Education EssayThe Gibbs cycle of reflection is use in 2 incidences in the report. The first incident is the con rowing project for CLS course on starch and second is the feedback go alongn for the SIM course for the melody report. In both of the incidences, problems are evaluated and necessary solutions are bown for the remediatements. The solutions are action planed to situate it achievable and measureable with in a specific time period.INCIDENT ONE THE STARCH visiting card SESSION1.1 DESCRIPTION OF THE INCIDENTThe incident happened during the starch poster session on the week 3 of commercialization of life sciences session. We were assigned a assemblage project to commercialize the starch of a company. We were supposed to prepare a poster drawing the road for commercialization. The starch had several importances like high in fibre and decreasing the obesity rate. The poster was prepared showing the treads of obesit y and how the starch testament help the people view as a healthy lifestyle. The trade for the starch was collected from varies websites like euro monitor. The product advantage of the resistant starch was shown to that of Competitor Company. The road for commercialization of product was drawn. The poster was presented in the class. The same attend was done by separate multitudes.1.2 FEELING OF THE INCIDENT (ON THE SPOT ANALYSIS)What I tangle?I matte up that the poster was not good in the visual representation even in the beginning it was presented. There were lot of gaps in the poster, the combinations of colours were not good and the content was not to the level of masters. During presentation, I managed the contents to give a good meaning yet I feared at that place was not enough data in the poster and I dont know the answer if I was oral sexed. Luckily, there were not so numerous questions. The only question asked was ab fall out how to create value in this poster wh ich I managed to answer. What my group members tangle? My group members felt that the poster was not as good as they expected. The visual content was felt very poor. No group member felt that there effort was shown in the poster. But everyone in the group encountered that the presentation by me was well done even though we had poor contents in hand. What did other group members feel? The other group members felt that the poster was good and well presented. Indeed it was better than the other groups. The other groups didnt proceed to take the starch to the market. They stopped at the point of analysing the importance of starch. The poster of other groups wasnt complete according to assigned urinate. What did the course instructor feel? The poster was comprehended by the course instructor for showing the market and how it can be commercialized. The course instructor felt improvements can be made in the poster e limitedly in visual representation.1.3 EVALUATION OF THE INCIDENTAlthough i t was a group activity only 2 of the group members did the poster with minor contri exactlyion from others. The group did not well co-ordinate for the project. Many members of the group taught it was simply unnecessary waste of time. Many group members felt that this was not the group they intended to be in and some of their actions like not contributing to group activities demonstrated their disinterest in co-ordinating with the group. The poor visual effects and content were due to the fact that many were not happy to work in the assigned group. Many conflicts were in the group on what content to put in the poster before the poster session. There was a conflict on who leave behind present the poster on the day of presentation. Everyone wanted to present the poster and everyone wanted every letter of them to be in the poster. This was not possible because many of the contents were same and some of the data were not in the scope of the appellation. The group members felt that thei r efforts were neglected.Poor performance of the group was due toImproper co-ordination of group members.1.4 ANALYSIS OF THE PASTThis situation remembered me of the incident that happened once I was in my under graduate. The people were not happy to work in the group for the lab project. My group members went and stood with the friends in other groups. They used to chat and always my group had no results in the experiments. let on of 11 experiments in the lab we had result for only 2 experiments. The course instructor called for each one one in the group personally to know the problem. When he knew the problems he took the group to the dinner and helped us to know each other well. I remember he even assigned some nick name calling appreciating our good characters. We were taken for trekking to improve the co-ordination. After a month group members felt comfortable to work in the group and next semester we got 9 results out of 11 experiments in the lab.1.5 ANALYSIS OF THE TECHNIQU E applyThe technique my undergrad course instructor utilizationed was Wheelans integrated Model of Group Development. typify 1 dependency and InclusionIn the dinner we exchanged the stories our own self virtually our families, friends and past life. The special talents we had like singing and dancing. exhibit 2 issue dependency and FightWe were introduced to topics that will cause conflict I remember some topics like Moral dress code made in colleges we had conflicts that went for days.Stage 3 Trusts / StructureWe were taken for trekking in steep mountains where we have to hold each other in order to be safe. We helped each other and frame of reference the trust.Stage 4 Works / ProductivityWhen we went to work for the group lab project we still had conflicts but we had greater trust and were willing to help each other. That made as have good results in the lab in the next semester.Stage 5 FinalThis didnt apply to the lab group because we were in the same group till the end o f my undergrad.I applied this technique number of times during my undergrad in order to form groups for cultural events in the university.1.6 ANALYSIS OF WHAT WE COULD HAVE DONE FOR THE STARCH PRESENTATIONA similar approach like this should have been fol humiliateded in the starch poster.Stage 1 Dependency and InclusionWe should have gone for dinner or indoor games. We should have known the individuals talents and appreciated him. So that he would have felt the importance of him in the group.Stage 2 Counter dependency and FightWe should have conflicted on the topics that like gulf war where everyone can talk and will contribute in a different way.Stage 3 Trusts / StructureWe should have gone for activities and games like trekking in steep mountains where we could have build the trust and resolved our conflicts.Stage 4 Works / ProductivityThen we should have worked in the starch poster so that everyone is willing to put the important contents in the poster. They would have taught the importance of group/team beyond their individual works represented in the poster.Stage 5 FinalThis wont apply to the group because we will be in the same group till the end of masters.1.7 ACTION PLANThe action plan is done for the better performance of the group in February in deciding the project that can be taken for the business plan.Step 1 Many group meetings are done not with guideword of assignments but just to know each other better. (Have to be done before December.)Step 2 Many common issues of conflict are discussed about favourite actors and actress. The cultural misconceptions are conflicted. (Have to be done before January.)Step 3 The trust is developed in the individuals by trips to black pool and many places. (Have to be done before January.)Step 4 we have done the next presentation better but we have to still build the team because there will be more conflicts as only one project have to be selected for the CLS course to make business plan and others should accept i t. (Have to be done before January.)1.8 CONCLUSIONBy following this technique I created high performance teams in my undergrad during cultural events. I intrust the same management technique will work in the masters level and we will be able to select the project with less conflict. On the course of the analysis of this technique, Wheelans Integrated Model of Group Development we will understand the talents of each member. This will help each member to work in the subject in which they have great interest on and which they know better than other group members in the business plan. Thus the technique Wheelans Integrated Model of Group Development will help us do an excellent business plan for the CLS course.INCIDENT TWO I GOT 54% IN SHAPING IDEAS FOR MARKET ASSIGNMENT.2.1 DESCRIPTION OF THE INCIDENTThis incident happened on 17 December 2010. It was the feedback given for summative course work on the topic business enterprise REPORT ON GENTRONIX in the course shaping ideas for mark et.Shaping ideas for market is one of my favourite subjects in my masters course. In this course I had special interest in reading number of books as possible. I read books like competitive strategy and balanced scorecards which were beyond the reading list. In the constructive feedback this was reflected as my instructor mentioned your business model looks quite good and many things are just right. My reading and knowledge was well reflected in the class get on when I answered I was always right and I knew the answer for every question put forward by my instructor. Such reflection in formative feedback and classroom sessions made me feel I will do well in the business report. I did the business report and when I submitted I felt I will get good marks yet the result was not that I scored 54%.2.2 FEELING OF THE INCIDENT (ON THE SPOT ANALYSIS)What I felt?I just felt the mark was not mine. I read the feedback completely and when the word Getronics came I was sure it was my mark. What did the course instructor feel? The feedback underlined area for low mark. The business template was not used. The referencing was not to the level of masters.Inappropriate usage of analytical tools. But the feedback mentions, A very confusing piece of work difficult after reading the whole assignment the markers could not understand what Gentronics really does and that makes it out(predicate) to relate the analytical techniques used in the report. What my class members felt? When I said my marks many of my class mates felt I was simply lying and I was sarcastic.2.3 EVALUATION OF THE INCIDENTUnderstanding of what an assignment is is derived from the past experiences in schools and colleges. The assumption I made in the assignmentThe business model is only a graphical representation of the theory. I could make my own graphical representation of the business model.I have indite only a few articles in my undergrad when an assignment was given. Except for the books review I didnt referenc e more than 5-6 references. The course instructor would clearly know what Gentronix really does before even reading the report as my undergrad supervisor knew, in and out the topic and checked whether I did it right.Yet clearly as the feedback mentions all my assumptions were wrong. And my 3rd assumption made my assignment impossible to be even marked. The lesson I have learnt is never change the template, an assignment is just like a literature review and I need to apologise things from the scratch the markers dont know much about the company until I explain it in my report. This lesson was learnt at a great cost i.e. I lost 46% marks. Yet I have an examen for the other 50% to get things on track2.4 ANALYSIS OF THE PASTThis situation remembered me of the incident that happened in my grad 10. It happened in the business mathematics course. I worked out hard for the exam I solved many questions as possible. I got answers for 8 questions out of 10 in exercises. In the main examination I failed to pass. In fact I got only 5 marks out coke. I remember the agent was I made a mistake in the critical equation that was the first step for every problem in the chapter. My course instructor could not give me marks because it was the first step of every problem in the examination. After I got the feedback I came to know, the mistakes I made was not only in the particular equation but I had mistake in number of equations. This problem was every time I did the sum I had the equation in front of me in the study room beautifully inscribed in colours. But in the exam hall I had no such equations in front of me and I failed to remember the inscription. The parameters and variables in the external environment changed in both of the occasions the shaping ideas for market and grad 10 examinations. And I failed. In my grad 10 I fought back the problem and I got 95 marks out of 100 in the final exam. The technique I used was improving my corporate trust in the Napoleon Hills pyrami d system mentioned in the famous book Think and Grow Rich2.5 ANALYSIS OF THE TECHNIQUE USEDThe technique revolves around 3 important parameters for success. The 3 vertices of the triangle in the success pyramid craving, faith and action.Napoleon Hills pyramid systemAction trustfulness DesireIn my 10 grad even after I saw 5 marks in the feedback I had a strong desire to score 100/100 in the paper in the final exam. The desire is just a wish and cant be converted into actions and goals unless I have faith in getting 100 marks. I had no faith in getting 100 marks after I got 5marks but I had faith in getting 10 marks. I made a goal that I will get 10 marks in the final exam I worked out problems and adopted techniques to get 10 marks. In a week I was very sure I will get 10 marks whatever the question paper and environment may be. With 100 marks as desire I had now faith to get 15 marks, I made goals and solved problems for getting 15 marks. I continued it till I increased my faith to get 100 marks. When I when for the final exam my parents and course instructor prayed that I should pass the exam. Yet I knew I am going to do it great and I did it.2.6 ANALYSIS OF WHAT I COULD HAVE DONE FOR THE BUSINESS REPORTI wish I could have got the assumptions right. Looked at business reports I could have gotWhat is referenced how and how many? How business model template is used? What degree of basic data do the markers need about the company and its products? My next opportunity to employ my understanding would be my business plan.2.7 ANALYSIS OF WHAT CAN BE DONE FOR SHAPING IDEAS FOR MARKET COURSE IN THE EXAMINATIONEvery time, when the mark is low it affects the faith vertex in Napoleon Hills pyramid. Now I have faith in passing the shaping ideas for market exam with 50% marks. I will employ short goals to improve my mark by 10% every week. Work out different past question paper to learn every time and in every paper I am consistently increasing the marks. I will check my co nfirmation by self analysis and discussion with classmates. I will do this until I am sure that I will get 100 marks.Personal SWOT to improve the shaping ideas for market marksStrengthI have read Bragg and Bragg the course book.I know what is being done in classroom sessions.I have got good formative feedback and I was able to answer questions in the class.WeaknessI have lost 46% marks in the business report.I dont understand where to use the tool and how to use them.OpportunityTo look at past papers. To collect articles to see the usage of tools.TreatsThe pattern of exam and question paper will be new.I am writing an exam in the business course for the first time.Need to spend time for other exams.2.8 ACTION PLANThe 4 week plan to get high marks in shaping ideas for marketWeek 1Revise course materials be confident to pass the exam.Week 2See the past exam papers try to answer them within 30 minutes/question. repair every time in answering the questions in time and content.Week 3Disc uss with friend on their views of exams and try to find the methodology vary is same. Try to find what may be improved and what may be eliminated to score more marks.Week 4Revise the work done for 3 weeks. Analyze all the possible risks. Be prepared a day before for the examination.2.9 CONCLUSIONThis action plan is made combining the SWOT and pyramid approach. The view of getting high marks is writing the exact number of words and information the quizzer expects to see in the paper. This information on what examiner might expect is got by critically analyzing every session of the course which is the first week plan. The second week puts the understanding into action. The third week checks for faults and other class members views of the content presented in class. Week 4 taking note of what is very important, important and less important. This is a way of managing time where in 1.5 hours the exam is completed writing the very important and important details. Thus in exam I will nev er miss the very important or important details whatever the factors may be. This strategy is adopted in getting high marks.
